A US signer for your merchant account, under contract, not a one-off gig.
The person who signs the merchant application, the bank account and the personal guarantee has to be a US resident with a clean record, a credit file and a phone that gets answered. IBOCore delivers that signer as the director of a complete IBO package, never as a stand-alone signature.
What a US signer signs on a merchant account
Three documents, one person, reachable for as long as the account processes.
A US merchant account is opened in the name of a US entity, but it is underwritten against a person. That person is the authorized signer: the one who signs the merchant application, the merchant agreement and, where the acquirer requires one, the personal guarantee. The same person is normally the authorized signer on the business bank account that receives the settlements. On a file built for a US merchant account, the signer is the director of the entity.
Underwriters read the signer's identity, address, credit file and record, then check that every document agrees: the state on the driver's license matches the state of incorporation, the name on the bank account matches the name on the articles, and the person on the application is the person who picks up the phone. A signer who only exists for the signing session does not survive that reading. The definition of the role is on what is a US signer; this page is about getting one that holds.
IBOCore does not sell a signature. The US signer is the Independent Business Operator (IBO) who directs the entity in every package: a real US resident with a clean record and a credit score of 650 or more, under contract, exclusive to one merchant, with the KYC file already collected and a commitment to answer verification calls for the active life of the package. See IBO vs US signer for the two roles compared in general terms.
What the underwriter checks on the signer
Each line below is a common decline reason when it is missing. The IBO package covers all six.
Identity and US residency
A current government photo ID and a proof of address in the signer's name. Both are in the package documentation, submission-ready.
Credit file
Acquirers pull the signer's credit as a proxy for financial reliability. Every IBO carries a score of 650 or more; profiles below that are not qualified.
Background
Zero criminal record. Acquirers run this check on every director and a hit ends the application; the same check is run before an IBO enters inventory.
An entity that matches the person
The LLC or C-Corp is incorporated in the director's home state, never in a state where nobody involved lives. The signer's address and the entity's state agree.
A bank account in the entity's name
Opened at Bluebanc or Relay with the director as authorized signer. Settlements land on an account whose name matches the merchant agreement.
Reachability
The verification call goes to the signer. The director is available for it, and for later acquirer queries, throughout the active life of the package.
Why a one-off signer fails underwriting and re-verification
A gig signer is priced as a task. A merchant account is a relationship that is re-checked for as long as it processes.
- The signing session ends and the file keeps living. Banks refresh KYC, acquirers re-underwrite when volume, products or descriptors change, and a signer who has moved on leaves nobody to answer.
- A verification call to a number nobody picks up reads as a fabricated principal. The application is sent back or declined, and the entity now carries a failed attempt.
- A signer paid per signature has no contract to stay exclusive. The same name shows up on other merchants' files, and acquirers cross-reference directors.
- A signer with no KYC file collected in advance turns every document request into a chase. The 3 to 10 business days of acquirer onboarding stretch into weeks.
Signer-only offer vs the signer inside the IBO package
The same signature, two very different situations six months later.
IBOCore does not sell a stand-alone signer. The right-hand column describes the Independent Business Operator delivered with every package.
Why IBOCore offers the signer only inside the IBO package
A signature is the cheapest part of the file. What holds up is the structure around it.
An acquirer does not underwrite a signature; it underwrites the person behind it, the entity that person directs and the bank account that entity holds. Splitting those three across a formation service, a gig signer and a fintech account leaves the underwriter with names, addresses and states that do not line up. IBOCore builds them together: the IBO package ships the entity with its EIN, the director as authorized signer, the bank account with full operational access handed to you, and the documents that tie the three together.
The contract is what turns a signer into someone an underwriter can rely on. Every IBO is exclusive to one merchant, was never used for another file, and is committed to verification calls, acquirer queries and signatures throughout the package. You operate the business and the bank account; the director does not interfere. The signer is not priced apart from the package: White Hat at $1,999 setup then $4,499 per month, Grey Hat at $2,499 setup then 9% of deposit volume, ongoing billing starting 30 days after delivery. The engagement terms are on rent an IBO.
If your question is about the banking side of the role, the authorized signer on the business bank account, read US nominee. If it is about the person on the formation documents, read nominee director USA. On a merchant account file the three are one person, and that is the point.
How to get a US signer for your merchant account
The signer arrives with the package. No KYC on you, no notary, no travel.
- 01
Step 01
Contact a representative on Telegram
Describe what you sell, where you process today and the acquirer or ISO you plan to apply with. Merchants are reviewed on business proofs before dashboard access, not on identity documents.
- 02
Step 02
Choose a package and a plan
Pick an available entity in the inventory, then White Hat or Grey Hat depending on your billing model. Subscription and continuity billing belongs on Grey Hat; see industries for the mapping.
- 03
Step 03
Pay the setup fee
USDT or USDC on ERC20 or TRC20. The package, signer included, is delivered the same day the payment confirms. The monthly fee or the revenue share starts 30 days after delivery.
- 04
Step 04
Apply for the MID with the signer on file
Submit the director's documents and the entity file to your ISO or acquirer. The director signs the application, the agreement and the guarantee where required, then answers the verification call. Acquirer onboarding typically takes 3 to 10 business days; the full application flow is on IBO for merchant account.
Packages with their signer, entity and bank account are permanently in stock and delivered the same day you purchase. Company names are masked until you sign in.
What the signer does, and what stays with you
The split is the same on every package.
- Signs the merchant application, the merchant agreement and the personal guarantee where the acquirer requires them, as director of the entity.
- Is the authorized signer on the business bank account, while the full operational access (inbound and outbound wires, debit card, no minimum balance) is yours.
- Answers verification calls and acquirer queries during acquirer onboarding, typically 3 to 10 business days, and for later compliance requests.
- Stays exclusive. One merchant per IBO; the director never signs for another merchant's file.
- Does not interfere. Products, funnels, offers, margins and ads are your business; the director has no say in them.
- Does not replace honest classification. Subscription-heavy billing on a White Hat package suspends it, and prohibited verticals (adult, gambling, pharmacy, firearms, crypto exchanges, fraud) are refused before any signature.
US signer for a merchant account, frequently asked
What merchants ask on Telegram when they arrive looking for a signer.
Can I get a US signer from IBOCore without the full IBO package?
No. IBOCore does not sell a stand-alone signer or a one-off signature. The signer is the director of the entity delivered in every package, together with the bank account and the documents. A signature detached from the entity and the account is the kind of file an underwriter sends back.
Who signs the personal guarantee on the merchant agreement?
The director of the entity, when the acquirer requires one; high-risk acquirers generally do. They ask for a US-resident guarantor with a credit file, a line a non-resident merchant cannot fill alone. What the clause means in general terms is covered in the blog article on the personal guarantee; IBOCore does not give legal advice.
Is the US signer also the authorized signer on the bank account?
Yes. The business bank account is opened at Bluebanc or Relay in the company's name with the director as its authorized signer, then the full operational access is handed to you: inbound and outbound wires, debit card, no minimum balance. Settlements from the acquirer land on an account whose name matches the merchant agreement.
What happens when the bank or the acquirer re-verifies the signer months later?
The same director answers. The IBO is available for verification calls, acquirer queries and compliance requests throughout the active life of the package, and the documents on file are the ones already submitted. Requests are coordinated in your private Telegram group with your account manager, 24/7.
How much does a US signer cost through IBOCore?
It is not priced separately. The signer is included in the package: White Hat, $1,999 setup then $4,499 per month; Grey Hat, $2,499 setup then 9% of deposit volume. Ongoing billing starts 30 days after delivery. Optional add-ons: bank pages $2,499, merchant account consulting $899 per month, document template pack $499.
Can one signer carry more than one merchant account?
One package opens one MID at a time for clean underwriting. Once the first MID is live, additional MIDs can be stacked on the same entity with compatible acquirers, signed by the same director. For parallel MIDs on different processors, use one package per MID. A signer is never shared between two merchants.
